This is the start of my 41st year of teaching in the Attica School District and I know there are many alumni out there who still follow the band. The band parent organization is still working very hard to make it possible for us to travel.

We are back from our trip to the Citrus Parade in Orlando. We had a wonderful time.  The weather was outstanding  - mid 80' s the entire time we were there.  The band had three great performance.  The Citrus Parade turned out very well.  After the parade we loaded the busses and travel to the home of Gen Smith.  Gen was going to come to the parade, but was unable to make the trip to the parade, so I took the parade to her.  It was an incredible experience for me to be able to have her see and hear the band.  It was a very emotional day for all those present.  It certainly was the highlight of the trip for me.  The performance at Universal Studios was great.  There were over 60,000 people at Universal that day, so it was a great crowd to march for.  The next day we went to Cocoa Beach. The surf was up and the kids had a great time.  While we were having lunch at Cocoa beach former Attica Superintendent of Schools Dick Willover and his wife came and visited the band - that was a nice surprise.  Mr. Willover hired me back in August of 1966. Dinner that evening was a Medieval Times. The trip home was long, but the weather was excellent.

This has been an incredible year.  The U.S. Army Field Band and Soldier's Chorus from Washington, D.C. performed an amazing concert. in the Performing Arts Center back in October.  The Toronto Christmas Parade in November was wonderful, as usual.  The Buffalo Bills Half-time show went very well - even though it was snowing while we were performing.

There are new pictures on the picture page.  As more pictures from the trip become available I will post them.

I would love to hear from any of you who access this site.
