After school activities have been cancelled - there

WILL NOT  be a band parent meeting this evening.  Please read the note below about PEPSI -  it is very important!

By the time you read this you should have received your spring packet in the mail. If for some reason you don't get a packet please let Mr. Rogers know as soon as possible.  Included in the packet are two copies of the Spring Schedule and all the fund raising sheets for the spring sales.  Please fill your fund raising sheets out completely and DOUBLE check your work. 

There is a steering committee meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 5th at 7:00pm in the band room.  There is also a band parent meeting on Tuesday. Feb. 12th @ 7:00pm.

I still have not heard from the Citrus Parade concerning the date for their parade. We are waiting for ESPN to set the dates for the bowl games in Orlando and then the date of the parade will be set.  I doubt if I will have the exact date of the parade by Tuesday evening but I do have a plan to put into place.

This is IMPORTANT !!!!!  This afternoon - Monday, Feb 4th -I had a conversation with our representative at Pepsi in Batavia. So that they can close out their current books before the new owners take over they have requested that we turn in ALL cans and bottles before        FRIDAY, FEB 15h. 

I know that does not give you a lot of time but it is something you will have to do.  Pepsi will issue us a check for all credit we have up to that date.  It is not clear at this time if they will be offering us the 10 cents per can/bottle after the new owners take over.  HOWEVER,  there is a very good chance the program will be continued.  As soon as I have a definite answer to that question I will let you know.  I have extra bags and tags in the band room.

We had a very good meeting last Tuesday evening.  There were approximately 75 parents at the meeting, which was great.  We discussed the spring fund raising schedule and decide that the spring packets will be mailed  out the last week of January.  There were many new parents at the meeting.  Preliminary discussions were held concerning the band's trip next December.  There will be further discussions at the next band parent meeting, which is the second Tuesday of Feb.  There is a steering committee meeting on the 1st Tuesday, the 4th of Feb and the following Tuesday, the 11th is the regular band parent meeting.

A major topic of discussion at the meeting was finding Camille help in the uniform room.  If you can help out in any way please contact either Camille, Don or Amanda.

The band's next performance isn't until the 2nd of March. We are hosting the benefit concert for Cross Roads House.  Featured on the concert will be the Alexander Fireman's Band, Might St. Joes Alumni Drum Corps and the Attica Senior High Band.  The concert will start at 1:00PM and will be held in the Attica Performing Arts Center. Donations will be taken at the door to benefit Cross Roads. House.
